One of the most loved films E.T is Steven Spielberg directed science fiction movie that overtook ‘Star Wars’ to become the highest grossing movie of all time when it was released in 1982. One of the best patriotic movies of all time, this science fiction alien invasion movie directed by Roland Emmerich was released in 1996 amidst great anticipation. It did receive some flak from the critics for being too clichéd and predictable in terms of story as well as undeveloped characters, but the viewers loved the extravagant shows of patriotism keeping it on the number-one spot for three weeks post its release.
